While I'm not a scientist and refuse to be held accountable to whether or not nothing in nature blooms all year, the meaning behind this statement is too real to me not to share.
Some of you may already know, but I got engaged about 4 months ago! It's been such an exciting time in my life, but has been really interesting to see how it changes my life as a boss as well. Four Oh Seven was only about a year old when we got engaged, so trying to grow and push this baby business while also planning two weddings (longer story here, but yes, two) has been harder than I really thought it would be.
Some days I feel like the boss again and get so in tune with this amazing business we're building. I love doing our client work and having long business talks with Kristin. But, other days I feel like my head and my heart are only half here.
It's nice to remember that being the boss doesn't mean being totally on 100% of the time. We all have high seasons and slow seasons in this crazy adventure. The real challenge is truly embracing each season as its own.
I'm just trying to be patient with myself every step of the way.
