"Great things are done by a series of small things brought together." - Vincent Van Gogh
There are a lot of boring, little tasks we have to do as small business owners everyday. From organizing files to sending those quick emails, these thing can start to feel mundane.
But, isn't it true that these little things add up every day? That our businesses literally wouldn't function without them? Every small thing we are doing in our business is what leads to the great things.
Outside of business, no matter which party or candidate you voted for (if you're here in the U.S.), this was an exhausting election. And no matter who you voted for, I think we all have felt more in tune with where our values and priorities lie over the months leading up to this.
So if all these small things we do everyday in our business make us great, what small things can we be doing to better live our values? To contribute to making our country the great place we know it is? It's kind of inspiring to think that we have a chance at making a difference if we really are willing to let the little things build.
So, I'm challenging you to really think about your values in your business and your life – what can you be doing to build a better world? Maybe you have some time or spare change to give to an organization you believe in. Maybe you feel called to be more involved in your local government.
Whatever it is, and however tired or even discouraged you are from this week, remember you have the power to make a difference and influence your world.
