reSettled Life is a Senior Transitions and Estate Sales business in the Northern Kentucky/Cincinnati area. Simply put, they help families who are going through the tough transition of moving and downsizing for an older, loved one.
We immediately fell in love with how much Amy, the owner of reSettled Life (and overall fantastic lady), cared about helping families who are going through this process. Her compassion for others made this an enjoyable and rewarding project every step of the way.
Now, onto the work!
SO, WHAT'S THE SITCH...
Amy came to us with her business idea fully ready to go, but was looking for help in turning that business into a brand that would help her stand out in this somewhat newer industry.
Q: Why did you decide to hire us?
A: I interviewed several different branding firms, a few locally and another away, I felt like what you all could put together with the process you had in place was the best fit for my new business. I needed someone that was going to bring creativity as well as business knowledge and would work with me and inject who I am into my branding, that's exactly what I got! I also loved that there were 2 of you, so the collaboration between you two and then adding me in was a great way to get a well-rounded brand and identity.
Q: What was it like handing over control of a portion of your business?
A: Scary! I feel like this new business is another baby for me. But I also felt completely at ease knowing that you all were taking it as seriously and personal as I do. I felt like you were invested in my new business and it's success as much as I am, that was a huge help in handing over some control.
SO, WHAT DID WE DO?
Amy choose our Third Floor package offering. This means, we got to work from the bottom up to bring her brand to life — all the way from brand strategy + brand design to website + collateral.
Together, we decided the brand needed to be empathetic, thoughtful, detail oriented, organized.
The front porch swing became our main brand mark because it felt like home and nostalgia. It also spoke to family, which is central to this brand.
Q: What was the hardest thing for you about working with a designer?
A: Finding the balance between your creative minds and what I had in my mind of what I wanted my brand to say, how I wanted it to speak to people. But you all worked that out seamlessly!
Q: What surprised you about going through our design process?
A: How you pulled out of me what I wanted my brand to say and what I wanted the "feel" of my company to be. I had no idea going in exactly what I wanted my branding to be, but in the end I did know, I just didn't know how to get it out there. You all sorted and questioned and explored with me to get the little details out that I wasn't even aware I knew I wanted.
SO, HOW DID THAT TURN OUT?
We were so sad to wrap up this project, but all good things must come to an end. And we're thrilled that Amy has a brand that she is proud of as she starts this new adventure.
Q: How did our work add value to your business?
A: Huge value! My branding is beautiful and eye-catching, much different than other brands in my industry. It's something that sticks with people and makes them think of me when faced with a situation that I can help them with, I'm the first person they think of and that's exactly what a well thought out brand should do! But it also represents who I am. This company was a result of something from my heart and mind and I feel like the branding reflects that as well.
